Introducing the
Access Equity Leadership Collective (AELC)

Are policies, programs, and legislation accessible to you as a Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind individual?
Do you wish information was available in ASL?
Looking for ways to connect with your legislators and drive real change?
At Access, Equity & Leadership Collective (AELC), we empower individuals and organizations to lead, advocate, and influence policies that impact our communities. Non-profits, businesses, and institutions can join the Michigan Coalition for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind to participate in our Legislative Committee—while individuals can access resources, training, and community support to make their voices heard.
Your voice matters. Your leadership matters. Together, we create change.

Acessible Bill Tracker
For Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Advocates
The Accessible Bill Tracker Project is designed to make Michigan’s legislation and policy processes fully accessible to Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind communities—including full accessibility in American Sign Language (ASL). This project goes beyond simply tracking bills; it provides resources, training, and guidance so community members can understand legislation, connect with policymakers, and take meaningful action.
By offering a centralized, ASL-accessible platform for bills, policy updates, and advocacy tools, the project empowers individuals and organizations to engage in advocacy with confidence and impact, ensuring that our voices are represented in state policy decisions.
The Accessible Bill Tracker Project is a core initiative of the Access, Equity & Leadership Collective (AELC), a new nonprofit sponsored by the Michigan Disability Policy & Leadership Coalition, focused on driving real change in Michigan.
Stay informed on Michigan disability-related legislation. Browse active, upcoming, and past bills: filter by topic, status, and impact to see what affects our community most.
Read clear, easy-to-understand summaries of Michigan disability-related bills. Plain language versions break down complex legislation so you can quickly understand key points, impact, and next steps.
Access Michigan disability-related bills through American Sign Language (ASL) videos. ASL summaries ensure Deaf and Hard of Hearing community members can fully engage with legislative information.
